❤️Need an inspiring story to start your day? Here you go.👇 “I saw six different doctors in an effort to become pregnant, and each of them told me I had unexplained infertility. A friend told me about Dr. Ablard at Mowery Women’s Clinic. I contacted Mowery Women’s Clinic in January of 2013, and at that moment I knew things were going to be different this time around. Once I met Dr. Ablard I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. She was different than any other doctor I had seen. She took her time with us, showed us compassion, and shared her knowledge to aid us in our journey to becoming parents. I didn’t undergo crazy amounts of tests and labs done like I had in the past. Each month there were ups and downs, but we kept pushing forward. By September 2013 we were pregnant with our miracle daughter, Byntlee. (Who is now 6 years old, and every bit of a beautiful miracle.) Several years later, in January of 2017 we were ready to add another child to our family, so we contacted Dr. Ablard. Once again, she used all the same components of compassion, knowledge, and time. By that October we were pregnant with our son, Kessler. I’ve been patient at Mowery Women’s Clinic for over eight years, and I have referred many women to Dr. Ablard. Many of those women are seeking the same thing I was, Motherhood. I drive over 60 miles from my home to Mowery Women’s Clinic, and 100 times over I would recommend Dr. Ablard and Mowery Women’s Clinic. You will not find more compassion and better care anywhere else!” - Dee Winkel
When I found out I had PCOS at the age of 25, I knew I had to make BIG changes. I didn’t want any of the “bandaid” treatments that the doctors offered. Hormone therapies and birth control didn’t work for me in the past with my Endo, and I didn’t want to go through all of the crazy side effects of hormone therapy again. I started doing a TON of research on how to treat my PCOS naturally. I was at a complete loss of how to treat, manage, and cope with my diagnoses of endometriosis and PCOS. I started digging deep & found a lot of personal testimonies regarding household cleaning products, skincare, body care, & feminine hygiene products + symptom management. That day, I threw out every single household + skincare item I owned and made the switch to what I thought were “cleaner” products. Then, I met @linds_spit and was introduced to Beauty Counter. That’s when I really started understanding how detrimental every day products can be. I have been using Beauty Counter for a couple of years now, and I really do believe it has made a difference. No more acne, minimal scarring, & a happier body 🙏🏽 I knew that I wanted to help other women change their lives in the ways that I’ve changed mine, so a little over a year ago, I became a consultant myself 💛 it’s amazing how much the “small” things add up and how much of an impact they can make on your every day life. Thankful for everything this company and my team have done for me 🌞 #beautycounter #beautycounterconsultant #skincare #cleanbeautyproducts #cleanskincare #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #endowarrior #pcos #pcosawareness #pcoswarrior #cleanskincareproducts #keepfighting #naturalhealing #healingwithin
MY OVARIES WEAR PEARLS ——————————————— #1in10women The beginning of 2017 I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). “Poly” meaning many, “cystic” meaning my ovaries are enlarged and contain fluid-filled sacks which aren’t actually cysts despite the name, which is in other words a hormone imbalance and that my body produces excess androgen (male hormones) which can lead to excess hair and weight gain and can also effect my fertility.I hit puberty at age of 8 and had my first periods! I just thought I was an earlier starter. Nothing to worry about. Until I stopped having periods every month at age of 14 and I got extremely worried thinking that my body was turning against me lol (dramatic I know). College hit and my weight rocked it and I began to notice a big difference in my health Yes my diet could be a little better but I’m a college student. However I was putting more and more weight on extremely easy and didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until I was due my contraception check that I mentioned anything to my doctors. I was sent for a blood test, had a abdominal examination and sent on my way with no answers still! Just told to eat more healthy and exercise more My bloods came back abnormal and sent for an ultrasound. 3 hour journey with a full bladder. The nurse was incredibly helpful and caring and calmed me down throughout the entire thing, she could clearly see this 20 year old panicking. She sat me down at the end and said she had found evidence of PCOS and my doctors would be in contact. I did what any human does and googled it!The one thing that stuck in my mind is the fact that it can effect my chances of having children… of course I’m not in a position in my life but the doctors couldn’t tell me how fertile I actually am. Since my diagnosis my confidence took a massive turn. I struggle to feel attractive and didn’t buy sexy underwear as I felt I didn’t deserve it and feel a lot less feminine compared to a lot of girls. #pcos #pcosawareness #pcosbloggers #chronicillness #lifestyle #womenshealth #meandpcos #highsandlows #tiredlottie #petitelottiee
