President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus plan is steadily making its way to a full House vote, and although Republican lawmakers have been in staunch opposition of the bill, Republican voters seem to largely support it. A Morning Consult/Politico poll released on Wednesday found that the public overwhelmingly supports the stimulus plan that includes $1,400 stimulus checks and extended unemployment benefits, with support from 70% of Democrats, 71% of independents, and 60% of Republicans, with only 30% of Republicans saying they somewhat or strongly oppose the package. The poll is further evidence of support for the plan among Republican voters, as Insider previously reported that at least several aspects of the plan are popular with that cohort. Only 17% of voters overall said they opposed the package. “The stimulus package and Biden’s other economic plans have enjoyed support from voters so far,” the report said. “Sixty-four percent of voters said in January that they strongly backed additional economic stimulus, and 51 percent said in a separate poll that the federal government should continue spending even at the expense of the national debt.” Full story https://www.businessinsider.com/60-percent-republican-voters-support-biden-19-trillion-stimulus-poll-2021-2 ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #bidenwillneverbepresident #bidenisyourpresident #presidentbiden🇺🇸 #biden46thpresident #presidentbiden2020 #bidenpresidentelect #bidenismypresident #presidentbidenvpharris2020 #presidentelectbiden2020 #presidentjoebiden #joebidenforpresident #joebidenpresidentelect #bidenisnotthepresident #presidentbiden2020🇺🇸🇺🇸 #joebidenisnotthepresident #joebidenpresident #bidenisnotpresident #bidenforpresident #bidennotmypresident #presidentelectbiden #bidenpresidente #presidentebiden #presidentelectjoebiden #joebidennotmypresident #bidenpresident2020 #bidenpresident #bidenisnotmypresident #joebidenforpresident2020 #congratulationspresidentbiden #joebidenourpresident via @hashtagexpert
President Biden said White supremacists are the greatest domestic terror threat in the US during a town hall event. “It’s complex, it’s wide ranging, and it’s real,” Biden added. “I would make sure that my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks, and I would make sure that we, in fact, focus on how to deal with the rise of White supremacy,” he said. Biden explained that his administration would also look into the impact of the rise of White supremacy in specific groups including, the military and former police officers. He called people who support White supremacist ideals “demented” and “dangerous.”full story https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/joe-biden-town-hall-02-16-21/h_b9ad6a21f72addd0149d5fea1477dcfb?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=news_tab&utm_content=algorithm ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #whitesupremacist #domesticterrorism #bidenpresident2020 #presidentbiden2020🇺🇸🇺🇸 #joebidennotmypresident #presidentelectbiden #bidenpresident #bidenisnotthepresident #presidentelectbiden2020 #bidenpresidentelect #presidentebiden #presidentbiden2020 #presidentbidenvpharris2020 #biden46thpresident #bidenpresidente #bidenforpresident #joebidenpresidentelect #presidentjoebiden #joebidenforpresident #bidenismypresident #joebidenpresident #bidenisnotpresident #joebidenisnotthepresident #bidenisyourpresident #joebidenourpresident #joebidenforpresident2020 #bidenwillneverbepresident #presidentbiden🇺🇸 #presidentjoebiden2020 #presidentelectjoebiden via @hashtagexpert
(CNN) - Joe Biden has been President of the United States for nearly a month, but his political agenda is only just coming into focus in Washington, now that the impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump are over. Biden has largely zeroed in on economic relief and public health measures to get the country back on track amid the coronavirus pandemic. But many of his other priorities -- such as health care, immigration and climate change -- reflect his campaign trail talk that called for reversing Trump’s policies. Biden’s agenda is sure to take center stage during his first official domestic trip as President -- a visit to Milwaukee for a CNN town hall. The “CNN Presidential Town Hall with Joe Biden” will air live from the Pabst Theater on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. The Biden administration will begin removing all Senate-confirmed U.S. attorneys appointed during the Trump administration, with two exceptions, a senior Justice Department official said. The process, which is not uncommon, could start as early as Tuesday. They will be asked to resign. John Durham will remain in place to investigate the origins of the Russia probe, but not as U.S. attorney for the district of Connecticut, the official said. He was appointed as a special counsel and given extra protections for the inquiry by Attorney General William Barr last fall. David Weiss, U.S. attorney for Delaware, will also remain in place. Hunter Biden, the president’s son, said in December that federal officials in Delaware were investigating his taxes. CNN was first to report the news. U.S. attorneys are the top federal prosecutors of their districts and are political appointees. President Joe Biden’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) isn’t wasting any time trying to get low-income families online. Under acting Chair Jessica Rosenworcel, the FCC is moving to expand a broadband services discount program to cover remote schooling. And at least one company, possibly hoping to get into the new FCC’s good graces, has now voluntarily doubled the internet speeds on its package for low-income people. On Monday, the FCC announced it was seeking comment on requests to expand E-Rate, which offers schools and libraries discounts on equipment and services needed to access the internet. With the Covid-19 pandemic forcing many students to do their schooling from home, Democrats have called for expanding the E-Rate to cover residential connections as well. Millions of students don’t have adequate internet in their homes, forcing them to use mobile phone data and even internet from nearby fast food restaurants. So discounted home internet services could help quite a bit. Previous FCC Chair Ajit Pai repeatedly denied calls to consider the expansion. Instead, he asked companies not to cut Americans off from the internet if they couldn’t pay their bills, waive any late fees, make their wifi hotspots free, and consider adopting programs for low-income people. Then, Pai had to hope that the companies would say yes to these suggestions. Rosenworcel, on the other hand, is a vocal proponent of E-Rate expansion, so it’s no surprise that she’s moving quickly here. ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #presidentbiden🇺🇸 #presidentelectjoebiden #presidentelectbiden #presidentbiden2020 #presidentelectbiden2020 #joebidenforpresident #bidenismypresident #presidentbidenvpharris2020 #joebidenpresidentelect #presidentjoebiden2020 #bidenisyourpresident #presidentebiden #joebidenpresident #bidenpresidentelect #bidenforpresident #biden46thpresident #presidentjoebiden #joebidenourpresident #joebidenforpresident2020 #bidenpresident2020 #bidenpresident #presidentbiden2020🇺🇸🇺🇸
President Joe Biden said Monday the United States could reach 1.5 million Covid-19 vaccinations per day, topping his previously targeted pace of 1 million per day, which was nearly met already by the Trump administration. Biden has pledged to administer 100 million shots of coronavirus vaccine in his first 100 days in office, a pace of 1 million shots per day. “That is my promise, that we would get 100 million vaccinations,” he said Monday. “I think with the grace of God and the good will of the neighbor and the crick not rising, as the old saying goes, I think we may be able to get that to 1.5 million a day, rather than 1 million a day, but we have to meet that goal of a million a day.” Full story https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/25/president-joe-biden-targets-1point5-million-covid-vaccinations-a-day-up-from-1-million.html?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=news_tab&utm_content=curated ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #joebidenforpresident #presidentelectbiden2020 #presidentbiden2020 #presidentbidenvpharris2020 #bidenisnotmypresident #bidenwillneverbepresident #joebidennotmypresident #welcomepresidentbiden #bidenforpresident #bidenpresident #presidentbiden🇺🇸 #joebidenforpresident2020 #bidenpresidente #bidenisnotthepresident #presidentbiden2020🇺🇸🇺🇸 #bidennotmypresident #joebidenourpresident #bidenpresidentelect #presidentelectjoebiden #joebidenisnotthepresident #bidenpresident2020 #joebidenpresidentelect #presidentebiden #presidentelectbiden #presidentjoebiden #bidenisyourpresident #joebidenpresident #biden46thpresident #bidenismypresident #bidenisnotpresident via @hashtagexpert
President Joe Biden hit the ground running after being sworn into office on Wednesday, and he’s not slowing down. According to a memo obtained by The Hill, Biden plans to sign executive actions each day during the second week of his presidency. Many of the orders will reverse those put into place by Donald Trump. From reuniting migrant families to reversing the “global gag rule,” here’s what the President reportedly has planned. At the start of the week, according to The Hill, Biden will likely begin fulfilling his campaign promise of supporting American workers and businesses. He’s expected to sign an executive order that urges agencies to strengthen policies towards purchasing goods and services from US-based brands. The following day, the President is reportedly set to sign numerous executive orders that support racial equity - starting with one that reinstates “Obama-era rules on the transfer of military-style equipment to local law enforcement,” as reported by The Hill. Other executive orders expected to emerge on Tuesday would help improve prison conditions, start eliminating private prisons, strengthen relationships with indigenous tribes, stop discrimination against Asian communities, and promote equality in housing.
