Hm, it feels weird to even be typing that it’s the end of the year already. Lately I’ve been thinking, what am I going to write down for 2021? I’ve learned that sometimes, the best thing to do, even if it’s the hardest, is to accept things as they are, without trying to overthink them over and over again. I’ve noticed that when I get into this cycle of rumination, (obsessive overthinking about negative feelings regarding your past or future, etc.), stopping myself and taking a few steps back is something that’s really helped me. It’s something you all should try— when you get caught up, remind yourself to STOP in that moment. Hey, maybe it’s actually not as hard as it seems and that you might be making it harder on yourself. This year has been so challenging for so many, but maybe it has also made us stronger without even realizing it. When was the last time you really sat down and thought about yourself, your needs, your past, or your wishes? I’m someone that holds on to the past a lot, but I’ve also come to realize that it won’t move you forward if you constantly focus and think about what once was and how it felt back then. Give yourself more credit for how far you’ve come! And remember that where you are has nothing to do with how far other people may be. You do you in your own way, and that’s okay. Just be intentional about what you give energy to. I’m proud of you! #thoughts #overthinking #inspiration #newyear #peace #travel #sunset #fashion #besafe
